Restaurant Le Petit Zinc
Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, just around the corner from Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, Le Petit Zinc is old-world, classic Paris at its finest. Unlike the noisier Boulevard St-Germain, the terrace of Le Petit Zinc offers a much quieter place to enjoy an apéro or perhaps a light meal. Art Nouveau in style, the decor is made up of items from auction sales, old metro stations, and the old Biarritz casino. The work of Hector Guimard, the outer façade also gives the restaurant an undeniable Parisian charm. Known best for their seafood, the kitchen recreates classic French dishes such as escargot, sole meunière, blue lobster, and wild sea bass baked in clay, whose crust is broken right at your table with a small hammer. For the more carnivorous, be sure to check out the beef tartare, thick cut veal liver, or Aveyron shoulder of lamb. And don't forget the crȇpes flambé or crèmes brûlées flavored with orange blossom and violet for dessert.
